children's nutrition is important to their overall health. Proper nutrition can
also prevent many medical problems, including becoming overweight and
developing weak bones. Proper nutrition will also ensure that children grow
into their full potential.
The best nutritional advice to keep children healthy includes encouraging them
to:
· Eat a variety of foods
· Balance the food they eat with physical activity
· Choose a diet with plenty of vegetables, fruits, grains and seaweed
· Choose a diet low in fats
· Choose a diet with natural sweets and sea salt
· Choose a diet that provides enough calcium and iron to meet their nutritional

Ron Seaborn is a graduate of Lehmann
College with a BA in speech and education. He has also been in the
health field since 1966. Ron's. vision is to create awareness and
focus on and highlight the positive aspects of eating right.
For many years, Ron has been researching and personally
experiencing different levels of eating properly. "The Children's
Health Food Book" has evolved from those experiences encountered
by Ron during his development as a vegetarian. Ron has always been
outspoken about the incidents he has occasionally witnessed
concerning the eating habits of others. Often he has desired to
comment but decided to withhold because many people simply
dismissed what knowledge he had to share. His concern was often
heightened when seeing infants and small children crying out of
discomfort and then given an unhealthy food choice, such as a
candy or a cookie, to soothe them.
These experiences motivated the highly respected educator,
songwriter, and twenty-year vegetarian to write the aforementioned
book. Ron realized that many adults have not been properly
informed about the difference between a traditional diet and a
truly healthy one and needed to re-evaluate the way they have been
taught to eat.
