Dante's the son of Bishop T. K. Wilson, the pastor of the largest church in
Jamaica, Queens, Katherine Wilson is Dante's overhearing mother. Her father was
the pastor of the church before her husband, and she takes her position as the
first lady of the church very seriously. It is her feeling that Dante is
destined to replace his father one day as pastor, whether he likes it or not.
But Dante's got other ideas. He wants to be a music producer and songwriter.
Brittany James is from projects and everyone calls her Boo. She's a bi- sexual
stripper who doesn't care about anyone but herself. The only thing she knows
about church is that she likes to sing in the choir. That is until she runs
into Dante and falls in love for the very first time. When Dante is cornered
into choosing between Boo and his family, everyone including her is shocked by
the results.
