WHAT A TERRIFIC BOOK! Dorothy
Height is a true inspiration to all. I first gained awareness of her book at
the National Council of Negro Women, Annual Harambee Brunch, I was the guest
speaker (Roselle, NJ). Her story was uplifting and refreshing. Dr. Dorothy
Heights demonstrates great faith, passion, courage and strength. I too grew up
in Brownsville, NY and I have to truly admit things have changed in Brownsville
and to know Dr. Dorothy Heights was a contributing factor is very motivational
for me. I would love to meet with Dr. Dorothy Heights because of her wisdom. I
know she will be able to impart knowledge regarding my desire to open a youth
center in Brownsville to help those who are less fortunate. She is a woman of
dignity and a true forerunner in our society. I am very, very happy to have read
her book and I will definitely recommend this book to the youth group at my
church, as well as to others.
