History and Culture for Young People
According to the world's leading Anthropologists and Archaeologist, man
originated in Africa, the birth place of mankind.
It is said that the Black man is the original African man.
The earliest stage of writing came about when man began to draw pictures
and symbols to express an idea. This
type of writing was called ideography or pictography.
The first organized form of picture writing was developed by the Black
ancient Egyptians. Their style of
writing was called hieroglyphics (sacred writing). As time rolled on, other people like the Phoenicians, the
Greek, the Romans, Hebrews, Arabs and Chinese developed their own version of the
alphabet. Some authorities however,
say that the Geez language of Ethiopia is the oldest written language.
Little Zeng's ABC's teaches the alphabet by using
Afrocentric figures from history and today.
