About the Book:
Call Me Black Call Me Beautiful is a rich and delightful story that
addresses the issues of racial awareness, racial identity and difference for the
younger audience- children between the ages of 3 and 8. Dr. Alicia Terry
Henderson tells a story that will aid parents and educators in their task of
racially socializing their children. Parents and educators will find that this
story is one that will foster the inquisitive minds of children, and one that
children will want to read over and over again.
